If I take the club back this way vs that way, or if I make a bigger chest turn or higher hands how does that affect my distance. However, it is nice to be able to have an easy way to digest all of that information on the computer. I live in Florida, and trying to use the rapsodo on the range doesn’t work- my phone will overheat and turn off with too much direct sunlight. Given that many of the best players in the world use these devices to drive both equipment and on-course decisions, it’s understandable that average golfers would be hungry to do the same.

If you’re going to use your launch monitor at a range, I’d actually prefer the larger device as I’d worry about someone carelessly giving the tiny Mevo the boot. While the Voice Caddie and Garmin offerings are self-contained, the other devices we tested require an app to communicate with the launch monitor and relay data to the user. There is a fair amount of depth in the settings, but much of that can be ignored if you prefer a plug-and-play experience. On the table view you can see your averages for that session with each club and you can even record video of your swings and add line graphics or angles on the playback to highlight certain positions.

I don’t have the money to purchase a Foresight GC3 PLM, so I’m looking for a more affordable PLM and I feel like Mevo + is the right route for me. One of the things that’s unique to Mevo and Mevo Plus, compared to any other personal launch monitor I know of, is the suggested use of metallic dots on the golf ball. If you’re a fitter or teaching professional looking to leverage data, more than likely you’ll need to look at the enterprise solutions.
